Champions Pointe Golf Club announced today that they will host one of the PGA Tour Q-School events, to be held Oct. 20-25, 2024. PGA Tour Stage 1 Q-School is the first step for aspiring golf professionals and amateurs to earn their spot on the 2025 PGA Tour.
The field of talented golfers historically includes an international roster of top-ranked players - with only a portion of those moving on to Stage 2 qualifying. Held annually since 1965, Q-school remains one of the options for advancing to the PGA Tour. Past PGA Tour players who qualified through Q-school include J.B. Holmes, Brendon Todd, Mike Weir, and Paul Azinger.
"We are honored to host the PGA Tour Q-School at Champions Pointe," said General Manager Chris Tuohey. "We are looking forward to seeing how some of the best professional and amateur golfers compete on our beautiful and challenging course."
Built in 2007 and designed by two-time major championship winner Fuzzy Zoeller, Champions Pointe is a 7,174-yard, par-72 golf course that carves through the natural landscape of Southern Indiana. The golf course includes multiple natural lakes and strategically placed bunkers add to the strategic value of the challenging and fair golf course.
Champions Pointe Golf Club is owned and managed by Northbrook, Ill.-based KemperSports.
